Tuskegee Airmen Receive Congressional Medal of Honor from the
President of the United States - March 29, 2007
in the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol

 President Bush awards Medals to
the Tuskegee Airman -- an award
 long overdue.

I think you will enjoy these photos of the Tuskegee Airmen Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony on March 29, 2007. We were at the Capitol with the NFRW Legislative Day group while this ceremony was going on. We were not able to attend this private ceremony but were very much aware of what was going on above us.  During this time, we had lunch in the House Dining room with Congressman Phil Gingrey.

The night before the Gold Medal Ceremony, my husband and I met one of the Tuskegee Airmen in the lobby of the Renaissance Hotel and had a wonderful chat with him and his wife.  Since my husband is also a WWII veteran, they had a lot to discuss.
